More glory on the roadside here in Waynesville, North Carolina.  Decided to forego my planned post for today and show off some more daffodils, planted at an intersection just down the road from our house.  Jonquils were planted with this patch of daffodils.  Across the road from there is a stand of jonquils only (not photographed – yet!).  Much to my dismay, however, the unseasonably warm weather we have had recently has our cherry tree about to burst into bloom.  Photos of that spectacular sight will be coming soon – just pray along with me that we don’t have any hard freezes after the blooming time!  Our forsythia is also blooming, so i will get up some photos of that along with the cherry blossoms.  I’m always amazed at how the mountainsides in early spring look like they do in autumn.  The reds and oranges and browns of the just budding trees bear a striking similarity to spring’s opposite season.

These photos were taken yesterday evening, on St. Patrick’s Day”

I’m loving these “Blooms Days!”  So much to see and enjoy – beauty enough. . .
